Karen Starr (DC) Vs Carol Danvers (MARVEL)

Snatched from their respective Universes by the Grandmaster, Power Girl and Captain Marvel are commanded to battle in his arena...

Two very powerful characters who have had their ups and downs in the comics as well as a number of different costumes over the years. I opted for versions of their currently most recognised costumes. So how would a battle between the two go ? hard to say, but in sheer physical might Karen has the advantage while Carol has some interesting energy absorption and manipulation abilities and can bolster her powers, much like a scaled down Captain Atom really.


Marvel have really tried to push the character with Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. With her making appearances in several games ( as Ms Marvel and as Captain Marvel ) most recently in Marvel VS Capcom, several cartoons, animated movie appearances and now with a live action movie on it's way.

By contrast you would think some at DC are either embarrassed by Power Girl or really don't like the character, with her making few appearances in their animated media, and being notably absent from shows that featured a lot of DC's expanded universe. In games her notable appearances are being a supporting character in DCU Online and being an alternate costume for Supergirl in Injustice 2.
