Powergirl : Dark Star (1) Back in Action

It was meant to be an easy job, simply a break in and swipe of Starrware technology for some big shot with no name. The Electrocutioner couldn't have said no to the price, and it had been a while since he had been able to hit Roulette's Casinos.

Shorting out the security alarm was no problem. In fact the only problem posed that would likely have taken action over this theft had left Earth months ago, Starrwares absent owner Karen Starr, Powergirl. In fact if she was still on Earth he would have turned the job down flat. Now that he thought about it why did she call herself a girl, "hm could be ironic" he thought as he exited the building.

" Shouldn't you be on the high seas Captain Jack ? " a womans voice asked from behind him. Electrocutioners heart sank, that was no guard, had to be yet another hero, he could always count on some do-gooder to interfere, fine, he hadn't killed anyone for a while.

" Fry bitch ! " He turned and directed a full blast of electrical energy at the woman, but as the energy cleared and dispersed, his eyes widened. Suddenly he began to wonder if 'bitch' had been the wisest of words.

If he had doubts about the different costume, there was no mistaking who was filling it.

" Aw come on this isn't fair ! When the hell did you come back! "

Powergirl smiled.

Iron fingers clamped around Electrocutioner as he was hoisted into the air while he vainly drained his suits energy trying to electrocute Powergirl. He should have stayed in bed.


For Kara this was a joy, having been back for over a month she had been itching to deal with something like this, but this was the first actual action she had taken in costume since coming home to Earth and she had missed it. She felt alive, though that might just have been caused by the charge from Electrocutioners attacks as much as it was from doing what she enjoyed.

Handing him over to the authorities Kara decided it was time to head back and see what costumes Atlee had acquired for the upcoming Halloween party. Atlee had pleaded to let her pick them, so with a certain amount of hesitance, Kara had agreed after telling her of the costume shops to avoid.






( Powergirl is back and sporting one of her earlier outfits which was pretty much a white leotard with a cape. Her peekaboo/keyhole/window costume will be returning at a later point. The Electrocutioners outfit doesn't look quite like that, but hey this isn't the official DC universe. )
