Powergirl soaks up solar energy in space.

Unlike most of my other pictures of Powergirl, this features her "52" costume, i just wanted to show that as generic and bland looking as it is, it really is no more modest or conservative than her keyhole costume ( which at the very least never looked like another heroes outfit ).

Most of my objections to Powergirl in the new 52 is actually from the shoving of her back into "Earth 2", which struck me as odd. To complicate the DC universe so soon with alternate realities, felt at odds with the idea that the reboot was supposed to tidy things up and provide an accessable universe for new readers...

In spite of the costume i was rather pleased with this picture, and while it is something of a "glamour pose" image, it turned out well.

This was based on one of the early pictures provided of her New 52 costume which didn't have sleeves. It's not my favourite costume for her ( nor is the one she is currently wearing ), but i'm still happy with it.

Sadly not, they simply made a vague alteration to it, most noticeably moving the 'P' further over to one side of her chest. It looks a little bit like this version i used very briefly in my first Powergirl fanstory, although i didn't get the 'P' symbol looking right [link] .
