Justice League - Initiations (1)

When Kara had finally agreed to return to the Justice League she made it quite clear that with the formation of a new branch of the team, Atlee was going to be on it. Not that the current administrators Ralph Dibny aka the Elongated Man, nor his wife Susan, required convincing, being quite clear that the proactive youngster would be a welcome addition.

Atlee seemed excited, while she had turned down a membership with the Teen Titans, the Justice League was regarded as the greatest of Superteams, even being part of one of the less well recognised branches was still a great honour. And her best friend was going to be there.

Arriving at the cave headquarters ahead of Kara and the others, Atlee noted that she really could do the team a favour by re-making the interior of the cave but suddenly felt it best to wait until everyone had arrived, things could go chaotic in the League at times according to Nathaniel at the most unexpected moments. It might have looked bad for her if she accidentally demolished the headquarters while trying to make it better. She instead went to the main chamber, sat on one of the seats, and waited for the rest of the team to arrive, going over what to say when she introduced herself formally to her new team-mates.



( This is a homage of sorts to the first page of 1987's Justice League, which had Guy Gardner in a similar pose going over his speech to establish himself as leader of the team, this was used several times over the years, even with the 'Big Three' Superman/Batman/Wonderwoman league when Guy made a cameo. But since Guy won't be featuring anytime soon in this story, i decided to give it to Atlee and her slightly rambling thoughts of her first formal introduction speech, with her going off on tangents )
