Captain Atom and Powergirl - Flame of Py'tar (6)

Events began to blur as the injured Despero ignored the energy assault to hurl himself at the Kryptonian and metahuman only to find himself thwarted again, this time by a large hand gripping his shoulder, followed by another hand that began punching him. There was something familiar about the creature, though he was not a Green Lantern when they last met.

"Rematch time yer Poozer !" Kilowog bellowed. He could have hit Despero with a energy blast, contained him in a bubble, no any number of less direct methods to take down the alien destroyer, but sometimes a direct approach was required.

It was an impressive sight to see the two massive aliens going toe to toe, as Kilowog's will driven power ring increased his already impressive strength to the point that even a being such as Despero would be badly hurt.  Neither Nathaniel nor Kara were quite sure if they would help or hinder the annoyed Green Lantern. Perhaps if some distance was put between them...


( When deprived of his Green Lantern ring Kilowog became a supporting character in the Justice League International, and actually beat Despero without even throwing a punch, using a hastily cobbled together device to transfer Desperos personality into the shell of a small droid, though Despero would eventually come back years later )

( Anyhow i always wanted Kilowog to punch Despero in the face, which i think he could easily do with his Green Lantern Ring  )
