Caliba - Dark pacts (1) : Lady Vivian

Lady Vivian looked over the ledge of her quarters, taking in the sunrise over the city of Caliba, the Order Council member felt unease. Things had progressed somewhat since Valion had assumed the command of the Order, and a certain amount of the Grandmasters had vaguely softened the Orders formerly harsh rule over the populace, now being solely reserved for those who truly warranted the Orders wrath.

But Valion stood in a precarious position, and there were plenty within the Council who felt the current direction soft and decadent. Yet Valion was well regarded by the people, and having the reputation of being one of the most capable warriors of the Templars meant that few of the ambitious serpents within the Order wanted to attempt any direct action against him. That meant they would have to undermine him, or possibly make use of outside assassins.

Lady Vivian would have to take steps to ensure the Grandmasters survival, she was to take a private audience with Valion later in the day. She would make her opinions and fears known to him and his aide, Terra Blanche.

Her thoughts were broken when her Templar guardian approached, the young Templar looked uncomfortable in his metal collar, or perhaps he was simply embarrassed to look at her. She gestured to him to fetch her official garments, which he did promptly. Lady Vivian clothed herself and with her quiet companion, set off towards the Grandmaster's halls within the tower.
